Out with EUABS

Tonight we had dinner with the EUABS. I feel so lucky to have these wonderful women in my life. We have voted to have Ranger and Tate (Samantha's son) as the mascots for our little group. There really is a special bond between us...we all had to suffer through some of the same things and we all have one time or another worked at Blanton Elementary in Arlington. I love you girls!!!

Ranger's Surgery

Ranger was born with a left bronchial cleft cyst. He was referred to a pediatric surgeon who wanted to remove it before complications could occur. We went in for surgery October 24th and stayed at Cook's overnight...mainly for observation. He came through surgery just fine and things seem to be healing. I think Kevin and I were in more pain than Ranger....our hearts were broken for him. If you look very closely at the picture with the towel you can see the tiny hole they had to repair...the cyst was under that. The picture of him sleeping is Ranger not feeling a thing thanks to Infant Tylenol.

Halloween

Ranger's first Halloween will be spent at a citywide festival. We will be volunteering with our church and he will be there to celebrate too. He wore this outfit to the hospital for his pre-op appointment for his surgery. All the nurses kept coming in to see how cute the "little pumpkin baby looked."

Ranger's Cousins

Ranger is so lucky to have so many cousins...a few he hasn't even had the opportunity to meet. Talk about one little lucky fella!!!!

Salon de LeLe

One of my favorite parts of the day is bath time. Ranger just loves it too. We call is Salon de LeLe (LeLe is what my nieces and nephews call me). These are some of my favorite pictures. He just chills and we bath before he goes to bed to get him relaxed.

Daddy Kevin

Kevin has been the best dad to Ranger. He helps me out so much with him..feeding, burping, changing diapers and I am so proud of Kevin for that. He likes to spend time with Ranger and Ranger recognizes his dad's voice. They are so sweet together it makes me so happy. Since the baby has come along we feel so much more like a family.

Ranger's Room

We did the nursery in sail boats. It is so cute. Casey (aka Nana Lou--Kevin's mom) came down one weekend and helped us get it together. We still have a few things left to do.

Ranger's Aunts

Ranger gets lots of love not only from me and his dad but he also has some other very special girls in his life...his aunts. We get a lot of visits from these three and I am pretty sure it is not for my company.

Grandparents

Ranger is lucky in the fact that he has 4 sets of grandparents and even several great grandparents. His middle name comes from my dad's. My dad's name is Terry Paul. Papa Deej (Kevin's dad) gave some really cool advice.....if we give him the middle name Paul we are giving him a little bit of both biological granddad's names. Paul from my dad and Jones from Kevin's.

Ranger Arrives

Ranger was born on September 10, 2008. He was a little early and was delivered via c-section and entered our lives at 9:04 am. His due date was September 25 but we knew he was coming early. He was 7 pounds 12 ounces and 20 inches long.
