My Swirls

My mother decided to take a picture of my swirls and share it with the world....haha!! My swirls are the two cow licks I have front and center on my head. We are probably going to be having some serious bad hair days....haha!!!!!!!!!!!

Papa Deej and CG come for a visit!!!!

The day before Christmas my Papa Deej and CG (short for cool granny) came to visit us. They stayed the night with us. We opened gifts, went to dinner, and just had the best visit. I do not get to see them very often since they live in Oklahoma City but when we do get to visit it is so much fun. This visit is actually the first time I got to meet CG...she's a keeper!!!

Cookies @ Nana's

We went to Nana's the Friday before Christmas and made cookies. When we have family affairs I tend to be passed around and my older girl cousins love helping my mom out by watching me. My cousin Kash also gets his fair share of mothering when we are all together.

Meeting Keith, Elizabeth, Tristan, & Keltan for the 1st Time

I got to meet my dad's brother and his family for the first time over the Thanksgiving break. They were so nice to me. We met at Chili's in Mineral Wells and my mom and dad just visited while I took it easy and took turns meeting everyone. They have sent me some really neat things and I was so glad I finally got to meet them.

My Sisters and the House Guest

I have two four legged furry sisters that just happen to be Miniature Schnauzers. The salt and pepper one is Milly and the white on is Kit. They have adjusted to me being home better than my Mom and Dad thought they would. Milly is very protective of me. The Pug's name is Davinci and he was a house guest over the Thanksgiving holiday. I am so glad my mom and dad have dogs....I can't wait to play with them.

My First Thanksgiving

I celebrated my first Thanksgiving this year. We went to my great grandparents house. My aunt Dana gave me my first taste of real food..it was sweet potatoes and my mom was a little nervous. My Poppy Dog and CeCe bought me the cutest bib to wear and it even came with a wash cloth. Thanksgiving is my Mom's favorite holiday. We all did lunch and then went home for a three hour nap...me, mom and dad.

Ranger Pear

My mom and step dad have some property out in the country. My mom, Ranger's Nana, came and stayed with us when we brought him home from the hospital. We got her a gift card to Lowe's as a thank you but we were very particular as to how we wanted her to spend it. We wanted her to get some kind of tree and plant in honor of Ranger out on their property so we could watch Ranger and his tree grow. She bought and planted a Bradford Pear a.k.a. "Ranger Pear" in our family. She then decided that all her grandchildren needed trees and picked a tree out for them and painted stones to go in front of their trees. It really is neat and very special. These pictures are of Ranger and his tree...notice he is in a basket. One of the pics is both his biological grandmothers and is very dear to me.

My Week With Nana Lou

Nana Lou came and spent a week with us while Mom recovered from surgery. She was with us for five days and boy did she save the day. She took care me so Mom could get better. She fed me, bathed me, changed my diapers, played with me, just loved me. She is so sweet and it was such a pleasure having her for a visit. I was so glad to be able to spend some time with her and I know my Mom appreciated her coming too. We love you Nana Lou!!!!!!!

Out with EUABS

Tonight we had dinner with the EUABS. I feel so lucky to have these wonderful women in my life. We have voted to have Ranger and Tate (Samantha's son) as the mascots for our little group. There really is a special bond between us...we all had to suffer through some of the same things and we all have one time or another worked at Blanton Elementary in Arlington. I love you girls!!!

Ranger's Surgery

Ranger was born with a left bronchial cleft cyst. He was referred to a pediatric surgeon who wanted to remove it before complications could occur. We went in for surgery October 24th and stayed at Cook's overnight...mainly for observation. He came through surgery just fine and things seem to be healing. I think Kevin and I were in more pain than Ranger....our hearts were broken for him. If you look very closely at the picture with the towel you can see the tiny hole they had to repair...the cyst was under that. The picture of him sleeping is Ranger not feeling a thing thanks to Infant Tylenol.

Halloween

Ranger's first Halloween will be spent at a citywide festival. We will be volunteering with our church and he will be there to celebrate too. He wore this outfit to the hospital for his pre-op appointment for his surgery. All the nurses kept coming in to see how cute the "little pumpkin baby looked."

Ranger's Cousins

Ranger is so lucky to have so many cousins...a few he hasn't even had the opportunity to meet. Talk about one little lucky fella!!!!
